Redlands AYSO, Region 50

Volunteer with Redlands AYSO Region 50

AYSO is powered by volunteers—coaches, referees, and behind-the-scenes leaders who make soccer happen for our kids. In Redlands, over 700 parents, neighbors, relatives, and friends lend their time and talents so every player has a safe, fun, and affordable soccer experience.

Why Volunteer?

  • It’s for the kids. Everything we do centers on safe, fair, and fun play.

  • It keeps soccer affordable. Volunteer time = more smiles, less cost.

  • No experience needed. We train and mentor you—start simple and grow.

AYSO’s six core philosophies guide our program: Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development.

Ways to Help (pick one!)

  • Coach or Assistant Coach – Lead a team with age-appropriate training and support.

  • Referee – Keep games safe and fair; flexible scheduling, no prior experience needed.

  • Team Manager – Communications, snacks, and simple team logistics.

  • Field & Equipment Crew – Goals, nets, game-day setup and takedown.

  • Board & Program Roles – Registrar, Treasurer, Division Coordinator, Scheduler, Sponsorships, Communications, and more.

Even a couple of hours a season makes a big difference.

Training & Safety (we’ve got you)

  • Free, age-appropriate coach and referee training (online + in person).

  • Ongoing clinics, mentoring, and advancement paths.

  • Required volunteer safety steps completed online (e.g., AYSO Safe Haven®, Concussion Awareness, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, SafeSport for adults) and background check; additional state/local requirements (e.g., fingerprinting) may apply.

How to Get Started (3 quick steps)

  1. Register as a Volunteer in your Sports Connect (AYSO) account.

  2. Complete safety courses in AYSOU and the background check.

  3. Pick your role (coach, referee, team manager, etc.) and we’ll match you with training and a mentor.
