AYSO REDLANDS.
AYSO Alliance players are placed in a positive learning environment based on a year-round, player-centered training experience designed to focus on all aspects of player development.
AYSO Alliance is the registered program of AYSO and operates within multiple communities in the Southern California area.
Each AYSO Alliance player is exposed to our year-round periodization program designed to allow players to reach their fullest potential while enjoying meaningful games through competitive league play and appropriately selected tournament play.
Each AYSO Alliance Coach is supported by a Director of Coaching and has access to cutting edge curriculum and training support designed to enhance the AYSO Alliance Player experience.
TRAIN- "TEAM TRAINING PROGRAM AND PERIODIZATION"
Our club has designed a 52-week program to help players reach their fullest potential with periodization breaks. Each team will train twice a week with their club coach, who will use effective training methods and the AYSO Philosophies to ensure that our players are placed in an enjoyable, developmentally appropriate environment.
Our club will take breaks* during Spring Break and Thanksgiving week as well as breaks during the Summer and Winter (HS Season) to allow our players ample recovery time throughout the year and enjoy other facets of their youth.
DEVELOP- "PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIZATION"
Built on the foundation of AYSO Philosophies, Alliance flips the soccer building blocks by prioritizing a player’s development, which is designed to meet the technical, tactical and psycho-social needs of our players.
AYSO Alliance is committed to provide a player-centered learning environment which allows each player to reach their own personal development goals.
Each player is guaranteed to play at least 50% of each game which ensures both a positive youth soccer experience and an opportunity to develop their game.
COMPETE- "MEANINGFUL GAMES"
Our Club teams compete in the competitive soccer leagues during the fall. The Director of Coaching and club coach will determine appropriate tournament play events* in addition to State Cups, and scrimmages against other clubs.
*Spring League or futsal may replace a tournament play.
PREPARE- "DEVELOPMENT PHASE PROGRAM"
Our Development Phase Program is designed to support players (10U-18U), as they prepare for high school, college and careers after Club soccer. Our Development phase program has two branches that supports our student-athletes looking for their next pathway.

WHAT IS A PLAYER-CENTERED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT?
At AYSO Alliance, we believe players develop best in a player-centered environment. Development begins with a positive coach-player relationship built on encouragement, constructive feedback, and open communication.
Our coaches are supported by our dedicated educational platform, The Coaching Manual, which provides structured resources and age-appropriate training tools to deliver high-quality sessions. Every training session and match is designed to be both challenging and enjoyable, creating an environment where players can grow while maintaining a genuine love for the game.
We recognize that a player’s development ultimately depends on their effort, commitment, and mindset. AYSO Alliance is committed to providing the highest-quality environment, coaching support, and structure to help every player reach their full potential.
DOES AYSO ALLIANCE HAVE A CURRICULUM?
AYSO Alliance provides coaches with structured session plans and seasonal development frameworks to support consistent player growth though support of the Coaches Manual, Licensed Coaches and Trainers. At the same time, we recognize that every team and environment is different. Coaches are encouraged to adapt and apply creativity within their unique circumstances to meet the needs of their players.
Like any strong organization, we will continuously evaluate and refine our methodology to ensure we are equipping our coaches and players with the best possible resources, tools, and support.
REGION SUPPORTED TRINERS
Redlands AYSO Alliance elevates player and coach development by offering professional technical training support. Alliance teams benefit from dedicated goalkeeper training, structured player development sessions, and on-field coach instruction led by experienced trainers to help elevate both player performance and coaching excellence.

WHY OPEN TRAINING VS. TRYOUTS?
Our AYSO Alliance Open Training Events take the place of ‘formalized tryouts’, creating a positive environment for players to truly express themselves and allow our coaches to accurately identify players for our AYSO Alliance teams for the upcoming season. We believe that players thrive when they are placed in safe, comfortable environments and the open training concept creates that. Our club practice environment will also allow our families to experience our club and interact with other families to decide if we are the right fit for their player.

COACHING AYSO ALLIANCE
AYSO Alliance coaches are placed in an environment where development is prioritized over winning and players are required to play 50% playing time. This structure ensures that coaches can develop players and teams without outside pressure as they look to create the ultimate development experience. We encourage professional growth and continued education both in AYSO, USSF and other coaching education programs.
AYSO ALLIANCE COACHING EDUCATION
The AYSO Alliance Coaching Education Pathway is designed to provide a clear and progressive development track for both AYSO and AYSO Alliance coaches. Our goal is to equip coaches with the tools, knowledge, and mentorship necessary to create a positive and high-quality learning environment for players. Each level within the pathway supports growth, challenges coaches to expand their skill set, and encourages continued advancement.
AYSO Alliance further invests in coach development by covering the cost of U.S. Soccer licensing throughout the pathway (D through A), supporting coaches from Grassroots to Pro level certification.
