By managing your team’s funds, you help create great experiences for players and families—everything from tournaments and team parties to uniforms and banners.

We know the role can feel like a big responsibility, but you’re not alone! Our Regional Treasurer and board members are here to guide you, answer questions, and provide tools to make the job simple and transparent.

Role of a Team Manager for Extra & Spring Select

The Team Manager keeps the team organized and the sideline positive, modeling AYSO philosophies and upholding the Kids FIRST Zone® standard. Core duties include sending weekly updates and handling last-minute changes; managing rosters, headshots, and player/coach IDs/forms; recruiting referees and helpers and confirming required trainings; gathering uniform sizes/numbers and distributing kits; coordinating practices, game info, Picture Day, and team duties; prepping game cards, reminding refs, and submitting scores/card photos by the deadline. For tournaments, the manager supports AYSO-only event approvals, paperwork, and timing, and helps cap the season with a simple, fun team celebration.
